The manuscript is based on neural stem cell differentiation in humans and mice. Here, the group mapped genes that are involved in the development of induced pluripotent stem cells and mice embryonic stem cells into neurons and/or astrocytes.
We decided to illustrate the development journey as "a journey to climb down the hill"-- as inspired by the term "Waddington plane/Waddington development" where cells make decisions to go to a specific "valley/plane" to become more specialised cells.
